Mick Jagger will be performing at In Performance at the White House: Red, White and Blues, an event to celebrate and honour blues music. Mick is joining artists such as longtime Stones collaborator Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Keb Mo and Derek Trucks, among many other esteemed musicians. Booker T. Jones will be music director and band leader.

The gig takes place on Tuesday 21st February, and will be filmed in the East Room of the White House. President and Mrs Obama are hosting the event as part of Black History Month. The performances will pay homage to the blues of the Mississippi Delta and the legendary Chicago blues, and trace the influence of the blues on modern American music from soul to rock’n’roll.

The concert will be aired on television on Monday 27th February at 9pm EST on PBS.
