The Rolling Stones tonight played the iconic Glastonbury Festival for the first time in the festival’s history, where they headlined the Pyramid Stage. The band played a twenty song set, including a special version of ‘Factory Girl’, which they adapted the lyrics to become ‘Glastonbury Girl’.
The band were joined by former member Mick Taylor, who was a Rolling Stones from 1969 to 1974, for the songs ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking’, ‘Midnight Rambler’, and the encore performance of ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’.
The Voce Choir and members of the London Youth Choir accompanied the band on ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’.
The band’s next show will be on Saturday 6th July 2013, where they return to Hyde Park to play their first show there since 5th July 1969, Mick Taylor’s first gig with the band.
