Runway Show Will Debut Specially Created Merchandise Line By Agent Provocateur, Buddhist Punk and Chrome HeartsThe legendary Rolling Stones will host ?Fashion and Licks 2002? unveiling the latest line in Rolling Stones Rockware on Sunday, November 3rd. The band arrives in Los Angeles this week to perform three sold out shows as part of the critically acclaimed 2002-03 Licks World Tour presented by E* TRADE Financial. During their stay in Los Angeles, the band will play host to a fashion show continuing their role as leaders in fashion both on and off stage. The event will debut specially designed apparel and accessories from three of today?s most innovative fashion companies - Agent Provocateur, Buddhist Punk, and luxury lifestyle brand, Chrome Hearts ? and featuring much of the Rolling Stones Rockware product recently developed for the year long tour.?Fashion and Licks 2002? promises to be the premier event during Los Angeles Fashion Week. Held in a customized tent in the parking lot of Trader Vic?s in Beverly Hills, the star-studded event will begin at 8:30 p.m. The show will debut the latest in official Rockware, a merchandise line that captures the spirit of rock-n-roll, the look and feel of the current 2002-03 Licks World Tour presented by E*TRADE Financial, and encompasses the visual legacy of the Rolling Stones celebrated past. Attended by the Hollywood and Music elite, the show will also include special celebrity cameos on the runway. ?We are excited to be unveiling the latest Rockware line in Los Angeles during Fashion Week,? said Mick Jagger. ?Our fans have come to expect more than the typical concert t-shirt, and with this latest line of Rockware, we believe they won?t be disappointed.? Rolling Stones Rockware is a collaboration between the Rolling Stones and Anthill Trading, Ltd., an entertainment merchandising and licensing company appointed by the band and longtime tour promoter Michael Cohl of Grand Entertainment, Inc. The association began during the Stones? celebrated Steel Wheels Tour when the world?s greatest band decided to create the world?s greatest rock-and-roll merchandise for their fans. Their mission was to offer merchandise that was representative of their famed concerts -- innovative and constantly evolving. Together, The Rolling Stones and Anthill with creative consultant Lance Yates have successfully accomplished that objective, creating merchandise that goes beyond fans? wildest expectations while establishing a unique bond between the band and their fans. Now, The Rolling Stones are proud to introduce the latest line in the Rockware collection, featuring one-of-a-kind apparel, unique leather items, sexy lingerie, signature jewelry and accessories created by Agent Provocateur, Buddhist Punk, and Chrome Hearts. In addition, the Stones will unveil a selection of products featuring Andy Warhol?s infamous image of Mick Jagger as part of a recent agreement between the Stones and the Andy Warhol Foundation. Hand-made clothing with it?s own character; the Buddhist Punk collection features Zen-inspired t-shirts, jackets, and other accessories, with a punk twist. For Rolling Stones Rockware, Buddhist Punk has ?plundered the Stones archive mixing it up with Buddhist Punk spirit to come out with some new iconography,? says Nicholas Morley. There are coats of arms, Stones freedom fighters, psychedelic live portraits, a Capsule collection, and two custom-designed surfboards. Buddhist Punk?s for Rolling Stones Rockware will be available at trend setting fashion retailers such as Fred Segal. Established in 1989 and renowned for their custom leather and jewelry designs made with top quality materials, Chrome Hearts was approached by the Rolling Stones to design and manufacture a collection of merchandise featuring the iconic and timeless Lips and Tongue symbol. The collection consists of leather jackets, accessories and jewelry developed for the Tour. Accessories and jewelry items can be ordered in silver, gold or platinum and customized with diamonds and other fine gems. Laurie and Richard Stark, owners of Chrome Hearts said ?Chrome Hearts does everything in the whole wide world that we want to do, but we haven?t been around long enough to do?em all yet?and, we love Rock ?n Roll and we love the Rolling Stones, so let?s just f**king do it.? The Chrome Hearts for the Rolling Stones merchandise will be available at Chrome Hearts freestanding stores and the Rolling Stones website approximately December 1st and thereafter at other exclusive retailers to be disclosed on the official Chrome Hearts website www.chromehearts.com.
