With the release of Shine A Light, one of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands in history, The Rolling Stones, has teamed with one of film's greatest directors, Martin Scorsese, for a concert film Variety calls a "celebration of the band's great songs, performing skills and durability."

The complete on-screen performance will be available on the Shine A Light: Deluxe Edition soundtrack, released in the United States on April 1st and available internationally shortly thereafter. A single disc, 16-song edition of Shine A Light will be released simultaneously.

The film and soundtrack, titled after the Exile On Main St. classic composition, chronicle the Rolling Stones' concerts during the A Bigger Bang tour at New York City's Beacon Theatre on October 29 and November 1, 2006. The Oscar®-winning Scorsese captures extraordinary performances from Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood as well as special guests Buddy Guy (on Muddy Waters' "Champagne & Reefer"), the White Stripes' Jack White ("Loving Cup") and Christina Aguilera ("Live With Me").

Shine A Light, which includes liner notes by Scorsese, is the third double album live collection from the Stones, following 1977's Love You Live and 2004's Live Licks. The film is the third music documentary from Scorsese, following 1978's highly regarded The Last Waltz, documenting the final concert by The Band, and 2005's No Direction Home, tracing the life and career of Bob Dylan.
