This is Horsens, Denmark, 9th September 2006 and the band are introducing a performance on the last night of the European Bigger Bang tour. With 85,000 packed across seven soccer fields, this was the tour’s second largest gig; only the free gig in Rio had been larger. And Horsens only has a population of 48,000!./

A perennial favourite, Paint It Black is one of the signature Stones tunes, a groundbreaking paean to darkness in the middle of the sunny Sixties, and played here with all the ferocity that made it a massive number one hit on both sides of the Atlantic in 1966.
